John Woo dreams to remake of Samurai:
John Woo wants to shoot a remake of the gangster film “Samurai” genre of the French master Jean-Pierre Melville.
The original film was made in 1967 and presents lots of professional killers. During one of the shares will be saved by the accidental witness. As it turns out, the principal of earlier plan to get rid of it. The main role was seen by Alain Delon.
The English treatment “Samurai” is not only the plans of John Woo. The director wants to shoot a new version of his 1989 film “The Killer”. It tells a gangster who, after the betrayal employers must ally itself with a policeman.
John Woo would also like to shoot a musical. Filmmaker talks about adapting “The Phantom of the Opera”, but the producers refused to cooperate when the director proposed to dispense with some song original music by Andrew
